Van
Van village wine is the famous wine of Kinh Bac. Lang Van wine is cooked with delicious yellow glutinous rice grown in the fields of Van Xa village, Van Ha commune, Viet Yen, Bac Giang with the esoteric yeast of Van village.
According to the ancients, Van village, due to lack of rice, had to practice making cassava wine to sell for a living. However, over time, the name of Van village became the trademark of Vietnamese people as a famous wine throughout the country: Van village wine. This wine is smooth, bold, and has a special taste in the throat and specially causes no headache. All of these amazing elements combined create an unmatched reputation for Van village which has existed for decades.
To increase the popularity of Van village wine, Van Huong Liquor Cooperative was established and is the only unit that has coordinated with scientists to successfully produce wine which removes harmful impurities to ensure the health and interests of consumers. Products made by Van Huong Cooperative has achieved the highest honors in the fairs: gold medal at Vietnam International Green Week Fair – 2003; in 2004 - 2005, consecutively won 2 titles of "Famous Brand" at Vietnam Trademark Fair; 2007-2008, 2 consecutive years won the First Prize when participating in the Vietnam Wine Selection Festival organized by the Vietnam Beer Alcohol Beverage Association; in 2010 won the golden cup of typical millennial enterprise Thang Long - Hanoi and many other certificates of merit from the province and the State.
